Vikram Misri Takes Charge As New Foreign Secretary

Vikram Misri, a seasoned diplomat and China expert, became India’s new foreign secretary on Monday, succeeding Vinay Kwatra. Misri takes on the role amid India’s foreign policy challenges, notably its tense relations with China over the eastern Ladakh border dispute. The External Affairs Ministry welcomed him and wished him success.
