After Lok Sabha tussle, Kejriwal meets PM Modi to congratulate for victory

New Delhi | Amid all the clashes between AAP Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the duo met for the development and betterment of Delhi.

The Delhi Chief Minister promised to work with the central government and sought help for the development of the capital city.

“Met Sh @narendramodi ji n congratulated him for LS victory,” Arvind Kejriwal tweeted Friday morning, moments after meeting him.

In more tweets that followed, the Delhi chief minister revealed that he discussed his government’s plan to harvest Yamuna water for meeting the capital’s growing water needs and sought Centre’s support in this regard.

“Del govt plans to store yamuna water during rainy season. One season’s water sufficient to meet one year’s Delhi’s water needs. Requested Centre’s support.”

He added in the same tweet that he invited PM Modi to visit a Mohalla clinic and a Delhi government school.

Kejriwal-led Delhi govt has been lauded for their brainchild projects Mohalla clinics and their development of government schools.

“Ayushman Bharat (the centre’s medical insurance scheme) was briefly discussed. Informed honourable PM that Delhi government Delhi Health scheme is much bigger and wider in scope. However, assured him to examine if Ayushman Bharat scheme could also be integrated into our scheme,” he tweeted.

AAP has been one of the biggest opponents of BJP during the Lok Sabha polls which concluded last month.
