Amit Shah takes charge as the new Home Minister

New Delhi | Amit Shah, who was recently sworn in as the new Union Home Minister, has taken charge of the office from today.

The BJP Chief takes over the office of former Home Minister Rajnath Singh, who is now the new Defence Minister.

Shah was welcomed at the ministry of home affairs by Intelligence Bureau director Rajiv Jain and Union Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba, amid airtight security.

Amit Shah will be seen tackling and implementing the existing and new issues, like Kashmir’s election, Article 370, NRC in Assam, among others.

The appointment of Shah as the new Home Minister officially makes him No.2 in the Modi Sarkar 2.0.
