Arvind Kejriwal Asks Lt Governor Time To Meet Tomorrow, Likely To Resign

Kejriwal has been restricted from visiting the state secretariat, signing official files, or commenting  on the case.

Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal has sought time for a meeting with Lt Governor VK Saxena on Tuesday and is likely to tender his resignation, according to the Aam Aadmi Party.

On Sunday, the AAP leader said he would become chief minister, and Manish Sisodia was his deputy, “only when people say we are honest.”

Kejriwal said he would hold a meeting of AAP MLAs in a couple of days, and a party leader would take over the top post.

Earlier last week, the Supreme Court granted bail to Kejriwal in the ₹100-crore excise policy case but imposed several restrictive conditions.

Kejriwal has been restricted from visiting the state secretariat, signing official files, or commenting  on the case. He will not interact with any of the witnesses in the case or have access to the official case files. He is required to attend all hearings before the trial court unless an exemption is granted.
