BJP to organize farmers interaction with PM Modi

The farmer’s wing of the BJP (Kisan Morcha) is tasked with the collection of suggestions and feedback from the farmers.

 

New Delhi| To understand and address the farm woes better, the Bharatiya Janata Party is planning for an interaction programme for the farmers. The party officials said that the initiative will facilitate the BJP to reach out to the farming community. It will also provide a platform for the community to put across their suggestions for the ruling party.

The programme will be titled ‘Kisan Ki Mann Ki Baat, Modiji Ke Saath’. According to the official, the farmer’s wing of the BJP (Kisan Morcha) is tasked with the collection of suggestions and feedback from the farmers. The suggestions will then be included in the party’s manifesto.

The farm crisis has been the biggest issue in front of the Modi government. The discontent among the community has been on rising. Several farmers’ protests were taken out during the last four years.

To address the issue, the Modi government while presenting the budget announced the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. under the scheme, the farmers meeting the criteria laid down by the government would get the annual payment of 6000 rupees. Recently, during his rally in Uttar Pradesh PM Modi sent out the first instalment of 2000 rupees in the bank accounts of over 1.1 crore farmers.
