BJP leader and members of Maharashtra State Legislative Council Gopichgand Padalkar has warned Uddhav Thackeray against NCP chief Sharad Pawar. In his tweet, Padalkar compared Mr Pawar with ‘Shakuni’ A notorious character from ‘Mahabharat’.
According to Padalkar till the time Uddhav understand the games played by ‘Shakuni Uncle’ all his supporters would leave his party except Uddhav and his son.
While speaking with news18.com Padalkar Says, “I have warned Uddhav Thackeray against Sharad Pawar via my tweet.
“You can’t trust him at all. He Betrayed Congress leader Vasantdada Patil and became CM of Maharashtra.See what he did to Ajit Pawar, asked him to take oath as DyCM of Maharashtra in Fadnavis cabinet, and then everyone knows what happens.” Padalkar is of the opinion that if Uddhav Thackeray counties to listen to him Sharad Pawar his party (Shivsena UBT) will further go down.
“Pawar has always used the Congress party for his purpose. His party has no ideology & no standing. NCP party is the party of some industrialists who have got a stronghold in some pockets of Maharashtra.”
Slamming the tweet of Padalkar, Uddhav Thackeray faction Spokesperson Anand Dubey said, “Shakuni was always with Kauravas as they were greater in numbers. In Maharashtra State Politics party which has got greater numbers is the party of Kauravas and Shakuni with them. We are fighting our battle and firmly standing behind Uddhav Thackeray. BJP should see what is happening in their party. Mahavikas Aghadi is firm and will continue its fight with BJP.”

This is not the first time the BJP leader has attacked Sharad Pawar. Padalkar is of the opinion that Sharad Pawar has always acted against SC & ST reservations. Those who were opposed to ‘Dhangar’ reservations in the State are close to Sharad pawar alleges Padalkar.
In some instances, Padalkar has used foul language for Pawar while criticizing him. Padalkar before becoming the Member of Legislative Council had contested the 2019 State Assembly election and got defeated by Ajit Pawar (Nephew of Sharad Pawar)
