New Delhi | With TDP and RLSP leaving the BJP led NDA and reports of Anpuriya Patel led Apna Dal to follow the same path, BJP general seceratary Ram Madhav has said that the Bhartiya Janata Party is ready to make accommodation and adjustment in the alliance politics.
Speaking to news agency ANI, Ram Madhav signaled that after the departure of TDP and RLSP, BJP is looking for some new allies in South and East India. He said,” Alliance politics is all about accommodation and adjustment and for that BJP is ready. It is true that certain smaller allies like Kushwaha have decided to leave us but we’re working on bringing new allies into our fold especially in South India & Eastern India.”
Responding to the question of the emergence of Congress under Rahul Gandhi in the recently concluded assembly polls, Madhav said,” Rahul Gandhi is leader of Congress. It’s for them to decide if his leadership is beneficial to them or not. How can we comment on his leadership for Congress? He tried his electoral mettle in recent polls and brought some victories to Congress, there’s no doubt about it.”
Speaking on the option of Rahul Gandhi being the PM candidate, the BJP leader said,” If Rahul Gandhi could’ve been an option for PM candidate because of recent victories, then there would’ve been no need for Mahagathbandhan. Even today, no one, except Stalin, is ready to confirm the name of the leader of Mahagathbandhan. There are 6 people in the queue to become the Prime Minister.”
The BJP General Secretary also spoke about the ongoing Ram Temple issue and a chance of government introducing an ordinance over the Temple issue in parliament, He said,” Option of the ordinance has always been there. But the matter is right now in Supreme Court and Supreme Court has given a date of 4 Jan to decide about next bench. We hoping Supreme Court will take it in fast-track way&conclude it early. If that’s not going to happen, we’ll explore other options.”
