Delhi| According to reports received, a man opened fire at the Shaheen Bagh protest site. No serious injuries have been reported. The man has been apprehended by the police. The identity of the concerned man is yet to be revealed. This comes after a 17-year-old shot at Jamia protesters on Thursday.

This week, Junior Finance Minister Anurag Thakur faced a backlash for leading the chant at Rithali during the campaign, “Desh Ke Gaddaro Ko” while the audience chanted “Goli Maaro Saalo Ko”. Two Days after that during anti-CAA protest in Jamia, a minor shot at protestors while the police watched at a stone’s throw distance.
The man who fired bullets at Shaheen Bagh was identified as Kapil Gujjar. Several videos were circulated on social media wherein the shooter was heard saying, “Is Desh Me Kisi Ki Nahi Chalegi Sirf Hinduon Ki Chalegi” (Nobody will tell us what to do, only Hindus will tell).
