Delhi’s Security personnel were also seen pelting stones along with CAA supporters at the other side. Police refused to respond to questions regarding this.
New Delhi| Soon after a rally was taken out by BJP leader Kapil Mishra near in Delhi’s Jaffrabad on Sunday, a stone-pelting incident was reported even as police fired tear gas shells to disperse the mob.
The incident took place close to the site of anti-CAA protests on the road outside Jaffrabad Metro Station in northeast Delhi, where at least 500 people are staging a sit-in from Saturday night.
Around 500 people, mostly women, gathered near the Jaffrabad metro station on Saturday night in protest against the new citizenship law and the National Register of Citizens (NRC), blocking a major road.
Videos of people chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Desh ke gaddaro ko goli maro salon ko’ has surfaced on Twitter.
A man, Hari Krishan Das alleged that he along with three others, Rahul, Yogesh & Aman were brought to the Jaffrabad protest by a man called Kamal Bagdi. They were asked to be ready with stones to attack the anti CAA protesters.

People at the site have also alleged that policemen were mute spectators as the men pelted stones, videos backing this claim have also been found.
The police were also were very lenient during the Jamia shooting earlier this month.
A police complaint against Delhi BJP leader Kapil Mishra has been filed by a group of lawyers for his “inciteful tweets” after clashes broke out between protesters against CAA, and a group supporting the law in northeast Delhi on Sunday.
BJP leader Kapil Mishra on Sunday in a rally demanded that police remove the protesters within three days as the protesters had blocked a road since Saturday night.
Mr Mishra, who is known for his communal and incendiary tweets, led a rally in favour of the law in Maujpur area, near Jaffrabad where a protest was going on since Saturday.
At the rally, he gave an “ultimatum” to the Delhi police to clear the roads in the area or else, he said, they would have to hit the streets.
