Congress is murdering the mandate: Sambit Patra

New Delhi: Bjp spokesperson Sambit Patra on Friday accused the Congress party of altering the Constitution. Addressing the press conference, the Bjp leaders told the media that “Congress is murdering the mandate, they cannot alter Constitution to their whims.”

“Congress is rejoicing after rejection, exposing the Congress party. Congress’s double standard over judiciary is exposed” said Patra.

Targeting Congress President Rahul Gandhi over his earlier comment on the judiciary, the Bjp leader said that Rahul Gandhi was shamelessly comparing the same SC which gives marathon hearing to the Congress party’s petition with Pakistan.

The Bjp spokesperson also alleged that Congress party could not produce in Supreme Court any acknowledgement or proof of letter signed by their MLAs extending support to Congress-JD(S) alliance that was sent to the Governor of Karnataka.

“Mr. Rohtagi reportedly pointed out that Congress had filed a letter sent to the Governor where they enclosed signed list of MLAs giving support to the JD(S). He stated that no signed letter was ever sent to the Governor and it’s a fabricated document,” said Sambit Patra.

The Bjp leader further added that “Both ‘prayers’ of Congress to the SC, to quash Governor’s decision to invite BJP to form govt and to invite Congress-JD(S) instead, have been rejected. Yet Congress party is claiming victory, like Rahul Gandhi had claimed ‘moral victory’ after defeat in Gujarat elections.”
