Congress still puzzled on support to ShivSena, NCP says decision after Congress makes its stand clear

Sources said, Congress has 44 seats in Maharashtra out of which 40 MLAs are ready to support ShivSena as their only motto is to form Government against BJP.

Maharashtra in-charge of Congress, Mallikarjun Kharge addressed the press after the brief discussion in Delhi stating, “Congress is still not decided on the decision whether to support ShivSena.”

“We have called all our Ministers from Maharashtra to discuss. By 4 PM we are going to hold another meeting for a brief discussion,” Kharge said.

In Mumbai, the Indian National Congress was also in the discussion along with all their MLAs standing to form Government with ShivSena. Meanwhile, after hearing the Congressdecision, the NCP will pronounce their decision at 4:30 PM.

“Sharad Pawar, National Congress Party President headed the discussion and concluded it stating the decision will come after the Congress announces their stand as NCP is an ally with Congress and fought election 2019 together,” Nawab Malik said.

Earlier today Arvind Sawant, Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises of Union gave resignation from his post to ensure the termination of an alliance between ShivSena and BJP. He twitted and to going to conduct press meet after his official resignation to PM Modi.

In another major development, ShivSena Party Chief Uddhav Thackeray met the National Congress Party Head Sharad Pawar at his residence in Mumbai.

Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari allotted ShivSena 74 hours to from Government to conclude by 7:30 PM.
