New Delhi | Hours after Congress MLA Umesh Jadhav submitted his resignation to Karnataka assembly speaker, the Congress party has termed his as ‘betrayer’.
Terming Jadhav as betrayer’, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president, Dinesh Gundu Rao said,” Dr. Umesh Jadhav is leaving the Congress party for his selfish motives. He can be called a betrayer.” Rao further accused that resignation was a forgone conclusion because he had already sold himself to BJP.

Earlier today Umesh Jadhav a 2 time Congress legislature from Chincoli constituency submitted his resignation to the Karnataka Assembly speaker. The reason behind his resignation is yet unclear. However, according to sources, Jadhav is set to join the Bhartiya Janata Party(BJP) as the BJP is willing to contest him against senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls from Gulbarga seat.
