Ahead of the Delhi assembly polls, the Congress released its manifesto on Wednesday. Reiterating its national agenda, the manifesto promises to conduct a caste census. Besides, the Congress has also vowed to create a ministry for Purvanchalis – migrants from eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar – if voted to power.
Congress also promises to provide financial assistance of Rs 8,500 per month for educated unemployed youth for one year in the form of an apprenticeship.

The party also promised 100 Indira canteens, offering nutritious meals for Rs 5. The Congress also promised free electricity for up to 300 units and LPG cylinders for Rs 500.
The Grand Old Party also said that health insurance of up to Rs 25 lakh will be given to families and free ration kits to those eligible. The party also promised to provide Rs 2,500 monthly financial aid.
The polls for the 70-member assembly in the national capital will occur in a single phase on February 5, and the votes will be counted on February 8.
