Delhi assembly elections will be like India V/S Pakistan say BJP leader Kapil Mishra

Kapil Mishra was removed by the chief minister in 2017 from his ministry after he accused Arvind Kejriwal of corruption along with Satyendra Jain

New Delhi: Amidst Delhi Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Model Town candidate Kapil Mishra in a bizarre statement, has linked the poll battle to a war between India and Pakistan. In a tweet, on Thursday, Mishra said, “India vs Pakistan on February 8 in Delhi. 8 February ko Delhi ki sadkon par Hindustan aur Pakistan ka muqabla hoga (There will be a contest between India and Pakistan on Delhi streets on February 8),” he tweeted.

Apparently Mishra was referring to the Aam Adami Party as Pakistan and the BJP as India, though it wasn’t clear whether he was referring to a sporting or military contest.

Later, Kapil Mishra in another tweet went ahead and justified his India vs Pakistan remark saying that “Pakistan has already entered Shaheen Bagh”.

He also added that Delhi has several pockets of Pakistan and that rioters from the neighboring country have captured Delhi roads.

Former AAP minister and Arvind Kejriwal critic, Kapil Mishra, will contest against two-time sitting AAP legislator Akhilesh Pati Tripathi on the Model Town Assembly constituency seat

Kapil Mishra was removed by the chief minister in 2017 from his ministry after he accused Arvind Kejriwal of corruption along with Satyendra Jain.

In August 2019, Kapil Mishra joined the BJP and Delhi party chief Manoj Tiwari had said that Mishra would “serve Delhi by following the policies of Narendra Modi and the philosophy of Deen Dayal Upadhyay and Syama Prasad Mookerjee”.
