Union Minister and BJP leader Nitin Gadkari on Friday fainted during at event in Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar during a convocation ceremony.
Ahmednagar| Union Minister Nitin Gadkari who fainted during an event in Ahmednagar said that he is fine now and there is nothing to worry.
Talking to the reporters here, Gadkari said that he fainted on stage due to lack of oxygen. He said that the doctors have checked his blood sugar and blood pressure. “Later I got my blood sugar and blood pressure checked and the reports were fine. I am better now and there is nothing to worry,” Gadkari said.

The incident occurred when Gadakri along with other dignitaries was standing for the National Anthem at the convocation function of the Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV) Agricultural University.
Gadkari suddenly started feeling uneasy and lost his balance and collapsed on the dais. Maharashtra Governor C.V. Rao and some others rushed to prevent him from falling.
The Union minister was examined by the medical team and his condition is described as “stable” by Bharatiya Janata Party .
