Get 15000 FB likes and 5000 Twitter followers to avail assembly ticket: Congress writes to party workers

Bhopal | The Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) on Monday announced that the ticket aspirant for the upcoming polls in Madhya Pradesh must have a huge social media presence to avail ticket.

In an issued letter, the MPCC has made it a mandate for all the state and district post holders, current MLAs and ticket aspirants to get active on social media sites. The letter further added that before allotment of tickets, the social media presence of the ticket aspirant will be taken into consideration.


According to the letter, the social media presence of the leader will be evaluated on the basis of

1) Compulsory Facebook account

2) Compulsory twitter account

3) Presence on Whatsapp is compulsory

4) 15,000 likes on their FB page, 5000 followers on Twitter

5) a WhatsApp group of booth-level workers and

6) Retweeting every tweet of the Madhya Pradesh Congress handle @INCMP and compulsion for every office holders to like and share post of Madhya Pradesh Congress Facebook page.

The ticket aspirants are further informed to submit the information of there respective social media handles to the Madhya Pradesh Congress’ Social media and IT committee.

The Congress party in Madhya Pradesh is trying to utilise every possible step to overpower the Shivraj Singh Chauhan led BJP government in the election-bound state.
