Mr. Nitesh Rane further said, “Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis are now leading the charge in the state and such attacks won’t be tolerated.
BJP MLA, and son of union minister Narayan Rane, on Saturday, said Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis won’t tolerate attacks on Hindus in the state.
The BJP leader, also said attacks on Hindus in Maharashtra would be countered, with the same aggression. The attacks on Hindus in the state have not stopped after the controversy of suspended BJP spokesperson, Nupur Sharma, and if these continue, then a retaliatory tactic would be deployed in the state, Mr. Rane said.
While speaking at a press conference, at the BJP headquarters, Mr. Rane referred to the attack on a Hindu youth in Ahmednagar who is battling for life.

“On August 4, a youth identified as Prateek Pawar was attacked by 10-15 Muslims. While being attacked, he was told that he was acting like a Hindu devotee and was asking people to change display pictures on their mobiles. Today he’s fighting for his life. Nupur Sharma’s episode is over, but how many Hindus will have to give their lives?”, Mr. Rane asked.
Mr. Nitesh Rane further said, “Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis are now leading the charge in the state and such attacks won’t be tolerated. We live in the land of Dr. BR Ambedkar and if the attack on Hindus continues, then no one would be able to stop us. If Hindus are targeted, attacks on Hindus in Maharashtra would be countered with the same aggression. We aren’t governed by Sharia laws. Hindu Gods and goddesses are disrespected on social media every now and then.”
Conveying a message, Mr. Rane said, There has been no attempt in Maharashtra where an attempt at life has been reported, but if insults and killing of our people continue, then we will have to open our third eye. This is my message that I wish to give today,” he added.
“I am not against any religion or group, but if things don’t change but we would be forced to act in a different way,” Mr. Rane said.
