Rajasthan Governor Puts 3 Conditions For Assembly Session Clearance, Gehlot Cabinet Meets

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that he has spoken to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the attitude of the Governor.

Jaipur| Today is the 19th day of political upheaval in Rajasthan. There will be a cabinet meeting at the residence of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in a short while. It is expected to discuss the issue of convening the assembly session. For this, the government can apply for the third time by preparing the answer to the questions raised by Governor Kalraj Mishra. After rejecting the demand twice earlier, the Governor said on Monday that he is ready to call the session of the assembly but the government will have to accept the condition of giving notice of 21 days. The Governor also asked the Gehlot government 2 questions.

First Question– Do you want a vote of confidence? If, under any circumstances, action is taken to obtain a vote of confidence, then it should be in the presence of the Principal Secretary of the Parliamentary Affairs Department and a video recording should be done. It should also be telecast live.

Second Question– It should also be clarified that if the assembly session is called, how will social distancing be maintained? Is there any system in which 200 members and more than 1000 officers and employees are not in danger of infection? If someone has an infection, how will it be prevented from spreading?

Gehlot demanded an intervention from the President Ramnath Kovind. On the other hand, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that he has spoken to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the attitude of the Governor. At the same time, by sending an application to the President, he has said that the Governor is not approving to run the session, so he should intervene. .

3 MLAs of Pilot camp in touch: Congress

In the Congress Legislature Party meeting on Monday, the party’s national spokesperson Randeep Surjewala claimed that 3 MLAs of the Pilot camp are in touch with him and will reach Jaipur in 48 hours. If the rest of the MLAs also want to return, they will talk to Sonia and Rahul Gandhi and apologize to them. There will be no threat to their membership. Surjewala’s claim was overturned by Pilot camp MLA Hemaram. He said that there will not be a single MLA from the Pilot faction, but 13 MLAs of Gehlot Camp are in contact with him and will join them.
