PM Modi is only the Prime Minsiter of few industrilaists, alleges Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi | Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleged that PM Modi’s policies are only limited to few rich industrialists.

Addressing a political rally in Rajasthan’s Dholpur, Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that he once told Prime Minister Narendra Modi to waive off the loans of the farmers but instead he waived off the loans of the rich industrialist. Questioning PM Modi’s policies for farmers, Rahul Gandhi said, farmers are demanding facilities from banks but they’re denied because of debt. “Why can’t Narendra Modi waive farm loans when he can waive loans worth ₹3 lakh crore of 15-20 corporates?” he asked. Gandhi further questioned that PM Modi claimed he wants to be ‘Chowkidar’, but who does he really want to protect?

Criticising the Vasundhara Raje led BJP government in Rajasthan, Rahul Gandhi asked what did the State and Union government did for the poor shopowners and labourers in Rajasthan. Taking a dig at the Rajasthan CM’s announcement of free electricity before the polls, Gandhi said Vasundharaji announced free electricity for farmers just before the polls were announced, what was she doing in the last 4.5 years? “The Raje government stopped the Congress governments scheme of providing free medicines in the state,” he added.

Alleging Vasundhara Raje relations with fugitive businessman Lalit Modi, Rahul Gandhi said, “Lalit Modi gave CM Vasundhara Raje’s son crores or rupees. Yet, Mr Modi stands with them and claims he is fighting corruption. Today Lalit Modi is safe in London.” Speaking on the recent attacks on the Hindi speaking migrants in Gujarat, Rahul Gandhi said, “Youth of Rajasthan, MP, UP is assaulted and mistreated in Gujarat. You had trusted Narendra Modi, hoping that he will provide employment, but he broke your trust.”

Speaking on the forming government in Rajasthan, Rahul Gandhi said, “We will form your government. We govern with love and harmony while they govern with hatred and polarisation. BJP talks about their ‘Mann ki Baat’, we listen to your ‘Mann ki Baat’.”

Recounting the UPA governments public welfare schemes Congress President said during the Congress regime, there were schemes like MNREGA, Farm loan waiver, food security, mid-day meal- it is a long list.

Assembly elections will be held in the state of Rajasthan on December 7 while counting of the voting will be held on December 11.
