The issue of Rafale was created to mislead Rahul Gandhi: Tehseen Poonawalla

New Delhi | Political analyst Tehseen Poonawalla has claimed that the issue of Rafale was created to misled Congress President Rahul Gandhi before the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections.

Yesterday, a report came out in The Sunday Guardian that the team Rahul Gandhi had assigned for in the 2019 elections, informed and made him believe that the Congress party will be winning around 164 to 184 seats.

The report holds Praveen Chakravarty, the man behind Congress’ Shakti App responsible for the misleading Rahul Gandhi with the numbers. Chakravarty who was looking after Congress Election room and data analytics met the Congress president on May 21.

This has made everyone speculate that Chakravarty was a possible mole planted by the BJP in the grand old party.

Speaking about this issue, Poonawalla wrote on Twitter, “This article in today’s Economic Times
gets it correct on the data fraud pulled upon Congress by Praveen Chakravarty. I want to put out a larger point: on the issue of Rafale a lie was created to mislead Congress President Rahul Gandhi”.

He went on to claim that the victorious BJP wanted the elections on “national security over economy”.

“On the Rafale deal, the Cong president was told 90% of people surveyed believed this is a scam! Hence the issue of the GDP, farmers & economy took a backseat & Congress played into the BJP hands, who wanted an election on National security over Economy”, he added.

“No one ever saw this so-called data Praveen collected. Rahul Gandhi was told India believes Rafale is a massive scam & the elections became about what BJP loves National Security. Now tell me.. does this Praveen sound like a Congress sympathizer or BJP agent!”, he further wrote, contributing to the claims of Chakravarty being an agent of the ruling party.
