After Lok Sabha victory, BS Yeddyurappa demands midterm polls in Karnataka

Bengaluru | After a historic win in the Lok Sabha polls in Karnataka, BJP is now demanding to dissolve the state assembly and conduct midterm polls in the state.

Speaking to media today, former Karnataka Chief Minister and BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa said,” We have won 25 out of 28 seats in Karnataka. It is a historic win. It is better if the government is dissolved and mid-term polls are held.”

BJP who won 25 out of the 28 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka had failed the floor test in the state assembly after emerging as the single largest party in the state assembly polls. Yeddyurappa has to resign after the failed floor test and Congress-JDS alliance formed the government in the state with HD Kumaraswamy elected as the Chief Minister.

However, after the poor performance in the Lok Sabha polls various BJP leaders are demanding resignation on HD Kumaraswamy and dissolving of the state assembly.
