Mumbai: In a tweet Maharashtra BJP leader Gopichand Padalkar who reprents OBC community hits out at NCP leader and Member of Parliament Supriya Sule over her latest statement on OBC quota row. While interacting with media NCP leader and Mmenbet of Parliament Supriya Sule was asked question on OBC quota row in Maharashtra where Suprem court didn’t approve the request of Maharashtra but gave nod to Madhya Pradesh on same issue. Supriya Sule said that, ” we should not take example of Madhya Pradesh since court has reduce OBC quota there, hence we should not follow example of failed student, isntead we always follow example of students who comes in merit. Maharashtra minister Bhujbal is 24X7 working on this issue ”
Criticising her statment Padalkar tweeted and said that , “Such statement by established leaders show why Maratha resrvation and OBC reservation didn’t happen in our State, This is also clear indication that these leaders want go ahead with upcoming local body elections without OBC reservation. I condemn such leaders and their statments whicnis against OBC and their reservation.”
Maharashtra Govt who had approached the Suprem court with their plea of OBC reservation for upcoming local body elections didn’t get nod from the Apex Court. Where as state of Madhy Paradesh with similar request was granted permission to conduct elections with OBC Reservation with reduce quota. BJP Maharashtra hold responsible Uddhav Thackeray Government for not representing this case properly and also not following terms and conditions set by Apex court for OBC quota reservation.
Ahead of upcoming BMC Polls , cabinet minister Chaggan Bhujbal who is leading this entire campaign had written to Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray and asked him to convey the meeting on the issue of OBC to decide the next course of action.
