Reports: Former Jharkhand CM Champai Soren, Few JMM MLAs May Join BJP

News Desk

Reports say former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren is likely to join the BJP. Soren is currently in New Delhi with 5-6 Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) MLAs and is expected to meet BJP leaders. This comes ahead of assembly elections in the state. Soren dismissed speculations of joining the BJP. He was made the CM after Hemant Soren resigned and went to jail. However, Champai Soren had to make way for Hemant Soren four months into his tenure once the latter came out on bail in June.
