Maharashtra Minister’s daughter Leaves NCP To Join Sharad Pawar’s Faction

Days after Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar’s statement: “Society never accepts breaking one’s own family,” while referring to the rift between party leader and state minister Dharmarao Baba Aatram and his daughter Bhagyashri and after Ajit Pawar reportedly trying to stop Bhagyashri from switching to the Sharad Pawar-led NCP (SP).

Bhagyashri Atram joined the rival faction led by Sharad Pawar on Thursday. Atram’s entry into NCP (SP) in the Aheri constituency of Gadchiroli district has fueled speculation that the constituency could see a father-daughter battle in the ensuing Assembly elections.
