Political strategist Prashant Kishor on Friday met NCP Chief Sharad Pawar at the latter’s residence in South Mumbai. The meeting has triggered massive speculation within the political circles.

Kishor, who, after playing a significant role in Mamata Banerjee and MK Stalin’s recent victory in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu respectively had earlier said that he will “quit this space”.

Prashant Kishor played a pivotal role in helping his clients, Mamata Banerjee and MK Stalin come to power.

“I do not want to continue what I am doing. I have done enough. It is time for me to take a break and do something else in life. I want to quit this space,” Mr. Kishor had declared.

But there is strong speculation that the discussions have a larger context related to the 2024 election (or “Mission 2024”) and talk of a joint opposition candidate to challenge Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The meeting between Kishor and Pawar comes in the backdrop of top Shiv Sena leaders stating on record that their relationship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi was not broken even though they are not politically together now.
