On Modi govt’s fourth anniversary, Congress observes ‘Vishwasghat Diwas’

New Delhi: The Congress party on Saturday will observe a nationwide ‘Vishwasghat Divas’ in protest of the Narendra Modi led BJP government, as it completes four years of governance in the centre.

Senior party leader like Ashok Ghelt, Gulam Nabi Azad, Randeep Surjewala will conduct a press conference in 20 major cities including the national capital. State unit presidents and AICC in charges are also assigned to hold press conferences to mark the protest.

Senior advocates Kapil Sibal and Abhishek Manu Singhvi will also hold press conferences in Bhuwneshwar and Mumbai respectively.

The BJP government have come under the radar of criticism by the opposition parties over the fuel price hikes.

Various opposition parties including the Congress, All Assam Students’ Union (AASU), Trinamool Congress (TMC), Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) staged protests in various parts of the country over this issue.
