Jaipur | Rajasthan BJP chief Madanlal Saini has sparked a controversy calling Mughal Emperor Akbar a ‘Molester’ and a person who used to organise ‘Meena Bazar’ and exploit women.
Speaking on the occasion of Maharana Pratap Jayanti, Saini said the Akbar was not great, he used to organise Meena Bazar. Its been recorded in the history what kind of misdeed Akbar used to do under disguise. “Comparing Akbar with Maharana Pratap is making a mockery of history,” he added.
The Rajasthan BJP chief further added that the Mughal Emperor had to beg for his life when he tried to misbehave with Bikaner queen Kiran Devi. She put her sword on the emperor’s chest and forced him to plead for life.
Responding to the statement, Congress leader Archana Sharma said that the BJP leader has presented distoreted history which creates enmity in society. She said, ” The entire country is proud of Maharana Pratap’s valour and people imitate his values but its the oppositions responsibility to maintain harmony in the society.”
