Katihar(Bihar) | Addressing a rally in Balrampur constituency of Bihar, controversial Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu asked all the Muslims to unite and vote, to ensure the victory for Congress.
Sidhu took a dig at AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi, “Muslim brother, people like Owaisi want to win by dividing the Muslim vote here”
“64% is your (Muslim) population is in majority here and if you will get together and cast your votes, then Modi will be finished,” Sidhu added.

Last week BSP supremo Mayawati tried to garner more votes by appealing to all Muslims to “vote for he mahagathbandhan” instead.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath came under the radar for a similar appeal to the voters.
The Election Commission banned both the leaders from campaigning for two days.
BJP leader Maneka Gandhi, also using religion in her speeches, got a 48-hour ban from EC.
The Model Code of Conduct bars candidates from seeking votes on communal or religious lines.
Polling in Katihar where Sidhu campaigned is scheduled for April 18 in the second phase.
