Newly appointed Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will seek a vote of confidence for the new BJP administration during a special session of the Haryana assembly set for Wednesday. This follows the party’s split from its ally, the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP). Saini, who assumed office after Manohar Lal Khattar’s unexpected resignation, submitted a letter with support from 48 MLAs to Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, requesting the assembly session for the trust vote.
