Nayab Saini Likely To Take Oath As Haryana CM On October 15

Haryana

After the Bhartiya Janata Party’s historic win in Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini is likely to take oath as the Chief Minister on October 15, according to reports.

During the election campaign, the BJP indicated that Saini will be its choice for the top post if it wins in Haryana. 54-year-old Saini replaced Manohar Lal Khattar in March this year, months ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024. He hails from the Other Backward Classes (OBC)

Reports suggest the BJP would consider multiple factors including caste and region equations before deciding the cabinet ahead of oath taking ceremony.

The BJP bagged 48 seats, the Congress 37 and the Indian National Lok Dal 2 seats in the 90-member assembly.
