Nitesh Rane Miffed With Road Conditions In Mumbai, Showing New Road Washes Away In Just 7 Days

Mumbai: Miffed with road conditions in Mumbai, BJP MLA held Shiv Sena responsible for corruption in BMC. Rane has uploaded a video from suburban Borivali where a newly inaugurated flyover was washed away in the first rain.

“The flyover at Borivali west near RM Bhat road was inaugurated on June 18 in the hands of Aditya Thackeray. However, within just seven days, the road was washed out completely. The heavy monsoon is yet to begin. I wonder why the leader inaugurated it? It shows the quality of work and deeply rooted corruption in Shiv Sena led BMC,” Rane said.

Questioning the overall condition of the roads in the city, the BJP MLA said it is frustrating for public. “There is not a single area left in Mumbai where roads are in good condition. Either they are dug or laden with potholes. The citizens face a huge problem in travelling and it gets worst during the monsoon season. Sena has been ruling the BMC for so long but the potholes issue is never ending. All the money spent on the roads go to the contractors’ and leaders’ pocket,” Rane said.

The BJP leader has remianed vocal about corruption by the Sena corporators and has raised number of issues questioning the functioning of the civic body. Every year the city faces huge crisis during monsoon and comes to a standstill. Waterlogging and potholes are the major problems in Mumbai. Due to the haphazard urbanisation, reclamation new areas in the city get flooded causing a huge inconvenience for the people.
