Sharad Pawar strongly criticizes the BJP for “playing politics” at a time when Maharashtra is reeling under the effects of coronavirus with 50,000 cases
MUMBAI| On Tuesday NCP Chief Sharad Pawar clearing the air on the Maharashtra Government Politics stated only those without a job could think of the government is unstable. Sharad Pawar strongly criticizes the BJP for “playing politics” at a time when Maharashtra is reeling under the effects of coronavirus with the dubious distinction of over 50,000 cases.
Sharad Pawar said, “In such times of a huge crisis, our efforts are to relieve the pain of the people.”
“The Thackeray government is not capable of handling the pandemic in the state,” the former CM of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis said. Fadnavis complain about the failure to Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari after which the topic gets to gear up in the state.
NCP President Sharad Pawar went to meet Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari stating it’s a “courtesy call” without releasing the talks between both.
After meeting Koshyari, the NCP chief head in the evening along with Sanjay Raut held a meeting with the current CM of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray at his resident in Matoshree. The meet flame the topic of Maha Vikas Aghadi’s failure to handle the pandemic in the state. Rubbishing all the reports Pawar said, “We speak every alternate day, there is nothing new. But I hadn’t gone to his house since Balasaheb’s demise so I visited him.”
Following the news in the state and some media reports, HW News Network talks to few sources. Talking to HW News Network, sources said, “Pawar sir along with Sanjay Raut went to meet Uddhav Thackeray to boost his morale to fight against the situation in the state. To ensure full support of his party to fight against coronavirus and in government as well.”
Soon after the meeting, the Senior Shivsena leader and MP of Maharashtra Sanjay Raut said the state government was “strong” but did not brief about the meet.
After the meet with Sharad Pawar a few hours later BJP leader Narayan Rane went to meet Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and asked to impose President’s Rule stating the failure of the Thackeray government.
The rumours upheaval in the state when former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis complained to the governor about the “failure” of the Thackeray government in handling the Covid-19 crisis. Followed by Pawar’s meeting with Koshyari against the backdrop of strained relations between the Shiv Sena, which heads the Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government, and the Raj Bhavan.
Sharad Pawar is the crucial leader of Maharashtra government formation and had earlier openly complained about Koshyari’s “intervention” in the functioning of the state administration.
