New Delhi | Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday will visit Chhattisgarh to inaugurate various projects in the state.
PM Modi is first scheduled to inaugurate the Integrated Command and Control Centre in Naya Raipur Smart City. Later he will visit the Bhilai Steel Plant to inaugurate a modernized and expanded part of the steel plant. The modernization includes installation of cutting-edge technologies for improvement in productivity, yield, quality, cost competitiveness, energy efficiency and environmental protection.

During the same event, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the permanent campus of IIT Bhilai. He will also unveil a plaque to mark the commencement of phase-2 of BharatNet.According the released statement by the PMO,”BharatNet project envisages connecting Gram Panchayats with underground optical fibre network.”
Later PM Modi will inaugurate air services between Jagdalpur and Raipur. “He will also distribute laptops, certificates, and cheques etc to beneficiaries under various schemes. He will also address a public meeting.”the official release stated.
Ahead of PM Modi visit the Congress alleged that more than a dozen leaders of NSUI were detained and kept at unknown places before PM Modi’s visit in Raipur and Bhilai.
