Prime Minister Narendra Modi Thursday took to Twitter to wish Congress President Sonia Gandhi a “speedy recovery”, after she was found positive for Covid-19.
“Wishing Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi Ji a speedy recovery from COVID-19,” the Prime Minister wrote on his official Twitter handle.
Just a day after the Enforcement Directorate’s summon in the National Herald case, Sonia Gandhi has tested covid positive on Thursday.
The Congress matriarch has been asked to appear before the probe agency on June 8.
Party sources said that Sonia Gandhi will not skip her appearance before the federal agency as she will recover by then.
TheCongress on Wednesday, while interacting with the media, had said that the summons for Sonia and Rahul Gandhi were received “just a few days ago” and Sonia will “100 per cent” appear before the ED. “If Rahul Gandhi is here, he will also go. Otherwise we will seek some time,” Abhishek Manu Singhvi said.
