Rahul Gandhi says condition of institutions under BJP and RSS reminds of one in Pakistan

Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday accused the Bharatiya Janta party and its ideological mentor RSS of “capturing” India’s institutions by filling them with their men. He said that the condition of institutions in the country under the BJP and RSS reminds one of Pakistan.

The Congress leader stated that the central government interferes with the freedom of Judiciary.”Usually people go to the Supreme Court for justice. But for the first time in 70 years we saw Supreme Court judges coming to the people complaining that they are not being allowed to do their job”.

While referring to the unprecedented press conference by four Supreme Court judges, Rahul Gandhi said that such things happen only in a country with dictatorship,”It happened in Pakistan and Africa. But this happened for the first time in 70 years in India.”

“The BJP’s irrational insistence that it will form a Govt. in Karnataka, even though it clearly doesn’t have the numbers, is to make a mockery of our Constitution. This morning, while the BJP celebrates its hollow victory, India will mourn the defeat of democracy.” tweeted Gandhi this morning.

“The RSS and the BJP do not want the poor to be heard. They don’t want youth like Vemula to dream,” he added
