Ravi Shankar admonishes Rahul Gandhi not to fight political battles through court corridors

Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad criticized the opposition for the politicisation of Judge Loya’s death case. Prasad reminded Rahul Gandhi that political battles must be fought on political grounds and not through the corridors of court.

“This case was not activated to serve the public interest but to serve the interests of Congress and damage the interests of BJP, our party president Amit Shah, in particular,” Prasad said on the Supreme Court’s dismissal of PIL’s seeking SIT probe in the judge Loya death case.

The apex court said frivolous and motivated litigation has been filed to settle political rivalry.

Contributing to the demand for an apology from the Opposition, Minister of State Dr Jitendra Singh said, “If you’re doing the credentials of the judiciary, then you’re also doubting the credentials of all the investigation & evidence. I think Rahul Gandhi should apologise to Amit Shah.”

Later Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala questioned how the law minister has a copy of the judgment.
