Shocker for Congress: After Urmila, now Kripashankar Singh resigns from the party

In Congress, Kripashankar Singh had held the charge of the Mumbai Congress and was also a part of Vilasrao Deshmukh cabinet.

Mumbai| At a time when the Congress party is struggling to deal with Urmila Matondkar‘s resignation, it has faced another blow with senior leader Kripashankar Singh resigning from the party. Reportedly, Singh was in touch with senior Bharatiya Janata Party leaders and also met close aide of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in the month of June.

In Congress, Kripashankar Singh had held the charge of the Mumbai Congress and was also a part of Vilasrao Deshmukh cabinet. He served as the Minister of State for Home Affairs in Maharashtra government.

Recently, both Fadnavis and Shivsena Chief Uddhav Thackeray had paid a joint visit to his residence on the occasion of Ganpati festival. This had fuelled the speculations of him joining the saffron party.
