Siddaramaiah: “BJP is misusing central govt & its agencies to threaten our MLAs. It is not just by BJP leaders but also by dictators Amit Shah & Narendra Modi”

Bengaluru | Congress leader Siddaramaiah has hit out at the BJP and accused the party of misusing the central government to topple their government.

The former Karnataka Chief Minister wrote on Twitter, “BJP is a disgrace to our country & they have no respect for Parliamentary democracy. RSS did not respect freedom movement and BJP is not respecting our constitution. They are pseudo nationalists with an ulterior motive of destabilizing India’s unity”.

“BJP had not got any mandate from the people even if the percentage of votes are considered. Independents & BSP MLAs had supported our coalition govt. We have numbers to prove majority but BJP is continuously trying to topple our govt”, he added.

Siddaramaiah also called Home Minister and party chief Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi “dictators”.

“BJP is misusing central govt & its agencies to threaten our MLAs. It is not just by BJP leaders but also by dictators Amit Shah & Narendra Modi. They are nothing but the traitors of this vibrant country”.

Siddaramaiah also went on to claim that BJP has tried to destabilise the government six times now.

“They will surely fail again & will have to face the wrath of the public. They are unable to digest the fact that our coalition govt is trying to ensure social justice & regional balance”.

Praising the party MLAs who had resigned to accommodate the new MLAs who could be given ministerial berths, he said, “Our ministers have voluntarily resigned to help save the government. We will try to accommodate those MLAs who have resigned & interested to be the ministers. We will reshuffle the cabinet keeping regional aspirations & social obligations in mind”.

Siddaramaiah signed off, appealing to the resigned MLAs to take back their decision.

“I, on behalf of Congress party, request all those who have resigned to reconsider their decision & strengthen our government”.

The Karnataka assembly matters worsened when 13 MLAs of Congress-JD(S) coalition decided to resign.
