Legends Leauge

There has been a discussion in the media about his joining the BJP for many days, but the BJP and Sourav Ganguly have maintained silence on this.

Kolkata| In the wake of elections, a flurry of big leaders is visiting West Bengal. On March 7, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to hold a big rally at the historic Brigade parade ground in Kolkata. According to reports, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly may join the BJP in this rally.

According to a report in Dainik Bhaskar, on March 7 many prominent personalities of Bengal including Sourav Ganguly as well as Mithun Chakraborty, Prosenjit may join BJP. Sources said that the script to bring Ganguly to BJP was written in December 2019 itself. The then party president Amit Shah started preparing for this after PM Modi’s consent.

Shah appointed Ganguly as BCCI President

Amit Shah first of all removed Ganguly from Bengal Cricket Association and made him BCCI President. Shah’s son Jai Shah was then elected secretary of the BCCI. Recently, Ganguly met Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar. Earlier, he had also met the Prime Minister. There has been a discussion in the media about his joining the BJP for many days, but the BJP and Ganguly have maintained silence on this.

Dilip Ghosh will become CM if the government is formed

The BJP has also made preparations on the equation of government and organization after the elections. If the BJP government is formed in the state, then the state president of the party Dilip Ghosh is certain to become the chief minister. Ghosh hails from Bengal and has always been vocal in his statements against TMC.

There will be 2 deputy CMs on the lines of Uttar Pradesh formula

Under the Uttar Pradesh formula, the party will also have two deputy CMs if they form govt in West Bengal. When the BJP government was formed in UP, Dinesh Sharma and Keshav Prasad Maurya were made deputy CMs under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. By adopting the same formula in Bengal also, the party can accommodate rebel TMC leaders like Subhendu Adhikari. If all goes well, Ganguly will be sent to the assembly from a safe seat.

Shubhendu will get responsibility like Sarma in Assam

Himanta Biswa Sarma, the big face of Assam politics, got the number two position in the government when he came to BJP from Congress. He is considered the party’s troubleshooter. The party can delegate responsibility to Subhendu on the same lines in Bengal. In view of Subhendu’s political influence in Bengal, the party high command has also called for a meeting of the Central Election Committee.
