PM MODI ADDRESSED HIS FIRST MANN KI BAAT TODAY, TALKED ABOUT WATER CRISIS

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed his first Mann ki Baat after the re-election. This comes almost a month after BJP’s resounding victory in the Lok Sabha elections. So today, PM Modi addressed the Mann ki Baat keeping certain issues in focus. He thanked 61 crores voters who exercised their franchise in this election. PM Modi also invoked emergency saying that in the elections after the emergency, people voted against forces that crippled people’s rights. In the first term, he had suggested that visitors should gift a book instead of flowers. He replugged the message yet again today.

PM Modi addressed the water crisis that has hit major parts of India. He said there is no fixed way to conserve water. In different parts, different methods may be adopted but the aim is same- to conserve every drop of water,” he said. He asked everyone including eminent personalities to create awareness about ways of water conservation. The second request is to share the knowledge of traditional ways of water conservation and the third appeal is if any NGO or individual is working for water conservation then share about them.

ABOUT 140 MORE CONGRESS LEADERS RESIGNED FROM THEIR POST

The stream of resignation began after MP Vivek Tankha quit as the chairman of the party’s legal and human rights cell and urged others to follow suit to give a free hand to Rahul Gandhi to restructure the party at all levels. Party general secretary in charge of Madhya Pradesh Dipak Babaria and Goa unit chief Girish Chodankar, Delhi PCC’s working president Rajesh Lilothia and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee working president Ponnam Prabhakar also quit. A common letter of resignation was being circulated on social media with the names and signatures of certain Congressmen, including those of Haryana Mahila Congress chief Sumitra Chauhan and All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretaries Rajesh Dharmani and Virender Rathore. However, there was no official word from the party about the letter.

Recently, Rahul Gandhi during the meeting of youth congress had said that while he took the responsibility of the defeat and offered to resign, no state leaders have done so. Young leaders stand by Rahul’s decision while the older lot believes mass resignation will lead the party to anarchy especially when the assembly elections are staring in the face.

She said, she represents an inclusive India which is beyond the barriers of caste, creed and religion. She further said that she still remains a Muslim and none should comment on what she chooses to wear. Lastly, she has a message that many self-proclaimed protectors of religion fail to understand that Faith is beyond attire and is more about believing and practising the invaluable doctrines of all religions.
