Big blow to NCP: Udayanraje Bhosale resigns; to join BJP in presence of PM Modi

New Delhi | Satara MP Udayanraje Bhosale is set to join the Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday, in a big blow to Sharad Pawar-led NCP.

On Wednesday, Udayanraje had met Pawar and it was speculated that he had decided against quitting NCP.

Udyanraje Bhosale will join BJP in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the party headquarters in New Delhi. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will be accompanying Bhosale to Delhi.

In 2019, Udayanraje had won by a margin of around 1,30,000 votes. In 2014, he had won by a margin of around 3,66,000 votes.

Udayanraje had earlier termed the EVM machines as “manipulative”.
