Uddhav Thackeray Removes Rebels From Ministers’ Charge, Reshuffles Portfolios

Meanwhile, Sanjay Raut spokesperson of Shiv Sena has been called to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Mumbai tomorrow.

Mumbai: Amid the ongoing political turmoil in Maharashtra, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has handed over portfolios of nine rebel ministers, who are currently camping in Guwahati, to other ministers.

According to an official, The portfolios of the rebel ministers were being handed over to other ministers for ease of administration.

As of now, Nine Maharashtra ministers have joined the rebel camp led by Eknath Shinde.

Eknath Shinde who held the Urban Development, Public Works (Public Enterprises) Departments have now been handed over to Subhash Desai, and Gulabrao Raghunath Patil’s Water Supply and Sanitation Department will now stay with Anil Parab.

Similarly, Dadaji Dagdu Bhuse’s Agriculture and Ex-Servicemen Welfare Department and Sandipan Asaram Bhumare’s (Employment) Guarantee have been given to Shankar Yashwantrao Gadakh.

Uday Samant, Sandeepan Bhumare, and Dada Bhuse’s ministry’s charge have been given to Aaditya Thackeray who is already serving as the state’s Environment Minister.

Meanwhile, Sanjay Raut spokesperson of Shiv Sena has been called to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Mumbai tomorrow for questioning in connection with an alleged money laundering case.

Mr. Raut on Twitter reacted to the summon. He tweeted “I just came to know that the ED has summoned me. Good! There are big political developments in Maharashtra. We, Balasaheb’s Shivsainiks are fighting a big battle. This is a conspiracy to stop me. Even if you behead me, I won’t take the Guwahati route. Arrest me! Jai Hind!”

Mr. Raut had time and again claimed pressure from ED, CBI, and other central agencies” is what caused the rebellion headed by Eknath Shinde.
