The map, purportedly showing “Akhand Bharat (undivided India)” at some point in history, had missed out on key parts of present-day India. Netizens pointed out that the Indian map, demarcated by a white line on the saffron “Akhand Bharat” background, left out parts of Ladakh and the areas currently occupied by Pakistan, and also includes other neighboring countries.
The saffron map with a caption of “Akhand Bharat — the dream of every Rshtrabhakt,” has the image of Bharat Mata at its center.
Recently, the government pulled up Twitter for carrying the wrong map of the country. Not only Twitter, but several international organizations were also heavily criticized for misrepresenting India’s borders.
