VIDEO: MPs doze off as FM Nirmala Sitharaman replies opposition over Economic Slowdown concerns

Nirmala Sitharaman was presenting the counter-arguments to opposition’s claim that the GDP growth has fallen down and the employment is at a 45-year low.

 

New Delhi| MPs dozing off in the parliament during the debate is nothing new. A similar situation occurred when on Wednesday Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was replying to the opposition’s concerns over Economic Slowdown in Rajya Sabha.

Nirmala Sitharaman was presenting the counter-arguments to opposition’s claim that the GDP growth of India has fallen down and the employment is at a 45-year low. She said that though GDP growth has fallen, we cannot call the state of Economy is in a recession.

Meanwhile, a video has gone viral on Social media where Minister of Skill Development Mahendra Nath Pandey is seen dozing off. The opposition MPs have been demanding a sitting to discuss the economic situation in the country. However, when the sitting was commenced, the Rajya Sabha witnessed dismal attendance and empty benches.
