New Delhi | Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal was slapped by a man in Delhi’s Moti Nagar area on Saturday.
Kejriwal was holding a roadshow in Delhi for the ongoing 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
The ma can be seen climbing the vehicle and slapping Kejriwal. However, at the lasst moment, the Chief Minister ducked and the arm landed on his shoulder.
The man who slapped Arvind Kejriwal has been identified as Suresh of Kailash Park. According to the video, the man also abused Kejriwal. He has been taken to Moti Nagar police station. Police are trying to verify his identity.
According to reports, he sells spare parts at Kailash Park, and was very angry with the AAP leader.
This is not the first time the Chief Minister has suffered such attacks.
The latest incident had happened in April 2014 when Arvind Kejriwal was slapped by a man in Delhi’s Dakshinpuri area.
Lok Sabha elections in Delhi will be held in a single phase on May 12.
