#Watch: BJP leader Shazia Ilmi confronts pro-Pak protestors calling Modi “Terrorist” in Seoul

While the crowd was chanting Anti-India slogans, Shazia Ilmi accompanied by an RSS leader confronted the crowd and introduced themselves as Indian citizens.


Seoul| Since Modi govt abrogated Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian embassies in various countries are witnessing protests by Pakistan supporters. In one such incident, some Pro-Pakistan supporters were protesting outside the Indian embassy in South Korea’s capital Seoul when BJP leader Shazia Ilmi confronted them. She was accompanied by some RSS leaders as well.

A video of the incident has gone viral now. It can be seen in the video that a sizeable crowd of protestors gathering and shouting slogans outside the Indian embassy. Some of them were also raising Pakistani flags. The slogans of “Azadi” can also be heard from the crowd. The crowd further goes on to term Modi and India as “Terrorists”.

While the crowd is chanting Anti-India slogan, Shazia Ilmi accompanied by an RSS leader confront the crowd and introduce themselves as Indian citizens. However, the crowd becomes unruly and resorts to hooting. Further, Shazia Ilmi can be heard shouting back “India Zindabad”.

Talking about the incident, Ilmi said that she and the other two members from India were in Seoul for United Peace Federation conference as a delegation of Global Citizen Forum. After the conference, they were on their way to the Indian Embassy to meet the envoy, when they spotted the crowd chanting anti-India slogans. 

“On our way to the hotel, we saw an aggressive protest by an unruly crowd carrying Pakistani flags & calling all kind of names to India& our Prime Minister. They kept saying Modi is terrorist, India is terrorist. We just felt it’s our duty to tell them to not abuse our country or our PM,” Ilmi said talking to a news agency.

As the protest took an aggressive turn, the local police intervened and escorted Ilmi and her associates from the location.
