A video of Congress party’s national spokesperson, Supriya Shriante, compelling Bhartiya Janata Party’s national spokesperson Gaurav Bharatiya to say “Godse Murdabad” during a live TV debate, is making rounds on the internet.
In the video, Supriya Shrinate is seen challenging Gaurav Bhatiya to say Godse Murdabad.
When the anchor asks the BJP leader, whether he has any objection to saying “Godse Murdabad,” the Congress leader claims they won’t be able to say it. To which Mr. Bhatiya responded by saying “She is alleging me that I won’t be able to say “Godse Murdabdabad,” if I say Godse Murdabad, will she apologize.”, he said referring to the anti-Sikh riots.

However, following this, the BJP leader questioned, “Why Congress has given membership to Babulalal Chaurasia who is a devotee of Godse.”
Supriya Shrinate promptly responded, “Why has the BJP made Pragya Thakur an MP?”
The opposition has often, alleged the saffron party of following Nathuram Godse, who assassinated Mahatma Gandhi, the reason being the former was a part of the RSS which many BJP leaders are affiliated with.
Earlier in 2019, BJP leader Pragya Thakur who is accused in the Malegaon blast case had said that Godse was a patriot, when PM Narendra Modi was asked to react on the same he had said he can never forgive her, however, Thakur still remains an MP of the BJP.
