Amid humiliation and neglect in the party, the BJP leader and former minister Pankaja Munde on Tuesday in her spirited speech on the Vijayadashami on the Bhagwan Gad thundered that those who do politics on the strength of money and without any character will be defeated in the elections and scoffed the rumours about leaving the party and joining the another in the coming days. ‘’To get elected, one cannot pledge the loyalty,’’she declared and assured her supporters, who had gathered in large numbers, that she will entered into the fray to give justice till 2024 without naming the BJP.
Pankaja said there has been a churn in Maharashtra politics especially after splits in the political parties (Shiv Sena and NCP). ‘’I lost the elections (in 2019). I will have to walk with the help of clutches if my leg is fractured. Few say Tai is leaving party and joining some other party. My loyalty is not so cheap,‘’she noted.
At the Dussehra rally, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat clearly said that ‘’it is not in the interest of the country to do politics without loyalty and moral values. So you cannot pledge the loyalty to win. Loyalty cannot be tarnished.’’
‘’If i lose, i lose. Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh also lost in wars. Bhairava even cut off one of Brahma’s heads. Even Shiva has to bow before Hanuman while fighting. Vishnu also has to face a crisis. These gods were in trouble, if even the goddess has to fight with lakhs of demons, then why will we not be ready for war?” asked Pankaja.
‘’I apologise for every time as you are disappointed. But now my people will not show patience. We will build the house of those who trouble us in the sun. Lord Shankar is naive but he has a third eye. At the same time, “Na Jaane Kaisa Mujhe Parkhta Hai Mera Uparwala… Imtehan Bhi Digarh Leta Hai Par Haarne Nahi Deta,’’ she warned.
‘’Imay have lost an election in my life but I never fell in your eyes. People from all communities such as Dhangars, Malis, Marathas, Muslims came here. Have you come because everything is goody goody in the country? Are the farmers happy? Did the
farmers get insurance? Did you get a grant? Does the farm laborer have work?’’she asked.
Pankaja said there are many serious issues in Maharashtra. ‘’While the issue of Maratha reservation is getting serious, the OBC quota is also raised. The people have a lot of expectations from this government (MahaYuti government) and leaders and they will not tolerate the breach of this expectations,’’she warned.
Pankaja, who is sulking over the MahaYuti government’s move not to provide much needed funds to the cooperative sugar factory headed by her and the recent raids by probe agencies, thanked her supporters for raising Rs 11 crore in two days. ‘’When my factory was raided, you collected 11 crores in two days. You are sitting in the sun, so the stage is also in the sun and I am in the sun. I did not take people’s money, my people’s blessings are enough. I told my people that I will not take the money you have deposited. I can only give you self respect,’’ she said. She however, warned the top BJP leadership that ‘’don’t give me one time, but you can’t keep my people away from power”.
