Almost 50% of new MPs have criminal records: Report


All the above reports has been released by National Election Watch and Association for Democratic Reforms after closely analysing the self-sworn affidavits of 539 out of 542 winners in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. We have often seen parties brushing off charges against their candidates by saying they were victims of political vendettas. So this year India’s election commission made it mandatory for all the candidates to publish details of their criminal records during the campaign period. #CriminalCases #MP #LokSabhaElections
