BCCI Chief Sourav Ganguly Suffers Cardiac Arrest, Nation Prays For His Recovery

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president and former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly was hospitalised today in Kolkata and is undergoing primary angioplasty after suffering “chest discomfort while doing treadmill at his home gym”. On Saturday, the renowned cricketer was rushed to Woodlands hospital in Kolkata at 1 pm. the hospital said that an ECG was conducted, which showed “hyper acute ST-segment elevation in inferior leads and lateral leads”.
Woodlands hospital MD and CEO Dr Rupali Basu said in a statement, that Ganguly suffered from chest discomfort while doing treadmill at his home gym. He had a family history of IHD Ischemic heart disease. When he came to the hospital at 1 pm, his pulse was 70/min, BP 130/80 mm of Hg and other clinical parameters were within normal limits,”
